Happy MAR10 day

Well folks,

Procrastination plus chasing my 2 year old grandson around the house all week has made this a later evening blog post than I originally planned. HOWEVER, I am in love with this inspiration board I put together today to honor my very first video game character ever. Yes our Beloved Mario is 35 today and he was the first game that we got when a Nintendo Entertainment System showed up underneath our Christmas tree. Now I did NOT get this system or game at the ripe old age of 6, nor did I have my dad hook it up to be the very first video game I ever played. But this was our first console as our little family (I had played Atari 2600 with Pong among other games at a family members house). My brother and I have been into video games ever since. I must confess that I was unaware it was the 35th anniversary until I saw the email from Nintendo Gaming today but it was a welcome surprise.

This of course is the more direct way to do a Mario Wedding and someday I’d love to plan a wedding to land on March 10th (Mar+10 = Mario) with this theme. I absolutely would like to do a more sophisticated version of the Mario theme as well so look for that in a future blog post.

Do you have a favorite childhood gaming memory? Did you and your significant other bond over Avengers movie and Pizza dates? If traditional weddings aren’t exactly for you, then you are definitely in the right place! I love all things wedding, but I especially love when I can combine my wedding love with my hobby of video games.

Until Next Time,

Cheers 🥂

Kimberly
